1.1. Except where 1.2 below applies, the CDs contained in the course pack, and the printed material generated from the CDs can be used by the Church or Theological College who purchased the course pack from ACC, to set up and run an unlimited number of Pastoral Care Foundation Courses in any suitable venue chosen by the purchaser.
1.2. If you have bought or acquired the ACC PCFC pack and you are a training agency or a professional trainer or training consultant, and /or you plan to charge a training fee or derive income (corporate or personal) to lead / train / facilitate any training course using any of the PCFC material, you must inform ACC Head Office before opening or using this training pack. You will need to purchase a Professional Trainer License to use the course on this basis, and agree to the ‘Terms and Conditions for Use – Professional Trainers & Training Agencies’ before you run the course for any client.
1.3. Condition 1.2 above does not apply to you if you are a:
1.3.1. training agency or an independent professional trainer or training consultant and you are hired by a church or group to lead / train / facilitate a training course on their behalf and you are using for this purpose an ACC PCFC pack that has been purchased by the church / group for their future use or
1.3.2. paid employee of a church or Bible College and you plan to lead / train / facilitate a training course in the normal course of your paid employment contract / agreement, using an ACC PCFC pack that has been purchased by your employer.
2.1. The files that are on the discs contained in this pack may be copied onto a maximum of 3 computer hard drives or memory stick drives for convenience of use by course leaders and administrators (but see 3. below) only for the purpose of delivering a Pastoral Care Foundation Course
2.2. If you are a training agency or an independent professional trainer or training consultant using an ACC PCFC pack under an agreement as specified under 1.3.1 above, you must not retain or use any copies of a PCFC that you have not purchased under the terms of a Professional Trainer License referred to in 1.2 above.
3.1. The printable materials contained in this pack can be printed or copied without restriction providing they are for the intended use by the Church / Theological College that has bought the PCFC, for delivering a training course as laid out in the Course Leaders Guidelines and Course Leaders Manual contained in the PCFC pack.
3.2. If you wish to copy, print or use any of the content for any other purpose please apply to ACC Head Office for written permission.
4.1. The disc pack and the discs contained in the pack, or any copies thereof (held on any media), must not be sold, resold or offered for rent, under any circumstances.
5.1. No amendments, changes or edits can be made to any of the printed material, PowerPoint slides or OHP Slides contained on the PCFC discs without explicit written permission from ACC, with the exception of permitted customisations of the templates for Application Forms, Posters, Information Flyers and Course Member’s Welcome Letter.
6.1. Course Leaders, Churches and Bible Colleges using the ACC PCFC must make it clear to course hosts and Course Members that they are not employed by nor representing ACC.
6.2. Neither ACC nor it’s employees accept responsibility for:
6.2.1. the competency or suitability of any course leader who is not an employee of ACC or a contracted consultant of ACC
6.2.2. the quality or efficacy of any course delivered by anyone who is not an employee of ACC or a contracted consultant of ACC
7.1. If Course Members are being charged a fee for this training, they must be advised of the price and what that price includes before they book a place and there should be no hidden additional costs that are levied after Course Members have paid for and started the first session of the course.
8.1. A template for an ACC End of Course Certificate is available on the disc. To be eligible to receive this End of Course Certificate, the course material must be delivered as specified in the Course Leader’s Guidelines and the Course Leader’s Manual Session Notes with at least 20 hours of contact time between Course Leaders and Course Members, plus
8.2. Course Members must take active part in at least 90% of the course contact time (i.e. equivalent to 9 out of 10 x 2 hour sessions) including all interactive exercises and discussions, and complete the specified book review and learning journal. This requirement should be made known to all potential Course Members before or at the time they book a place on the course.
8.3. Course Members should be made aware that the ACC End of Course Certificate is given as recognition of satisfactory completion of the course only - it is not a qualification in pastoral care work nor does it imply any level of skills attainment or competency. This should be made known to all potential Course Members before they commit to the course.
8.4. The ACC End of Course Certificate template provided with the course material must not be amended in any way with the exception of the insertion of the Course Member’s name, the name of the church or organisation hosting the course, the dates over which the course was run, the Course Leader’s name and signature, and the date of certificate.
9.1. Within one month after the end of a course please send to ACC Head Office your Course Leader Evaluation forms together with the End of Course Evaluation forms completed by Course Members who took part.
