In Europe
ACC was initially founded in the United Kingdom but has spread rapidly into Europe. This initially happened by the UK organisation sharing its vision, its knowledge and its systems with interested groups in a variety of countries and allowing them to adapt and develop them as appropriate to their situation.
There are ACCs and contacts in many European countries which operate under the banner of ACC Europe, a fellowship whose President since it was formed in 1997 was David Depledge of ACC (UK) but who was succeeded by Jacques Poujol of ACC France in 2010. Northern Ireland is a part of ACC UK. There is also an Irish Association of Christian Counsellors based in Dublin.
