The Executive Committee meets more frequently than the Board and deals with much of the day to day running of ACC through supporting and advising the Chief Executive. In addition to the Chair and Deputy Chair who may attend whenever they wish to, the members of the Executive are:-
Greta Randle is the Chief Executive of ACC – meaning that she guides and oversees everything that happens in ACC but also has to get involved in much detailed work connected with the key issues. "The role of CEO is both challenging and exciting. Whilst the initial period of learning is quite difficult, there have been times of great encouragement from ACC members and colleagues. I look forward to a long and
happy future with ACC and know this is God's plan for my life."
John Nightingale is the Director of Professional Standards which includes Accreditation and Training Standards as well as being heavily involved in representing ACC in talks about Regulation. ACC buys a certain amount of John’s time from his principle employer, the Manna House in Northampton where he has served for 24 years and is the Director. The work there includes a bookshop, a book wholesaling business and flats for homeless people as well as the counselling and training ministry.
John serves the Community Funding Advisory Panel of the Northamptonshire County Council and is on the Executive of CVS Northamptonshire. He is a keen golfer playing now off 6. He is married to Val (who works part time for ACC as his PA). They have three grown up children and a grandchild.
Syd Platt is the Representative for the South East of England and represents ACC's other UK representatives on the Executive. Syd’s background is in telecommunications engineering and management but has been Director of the Olive Tree counselling agency in Essex for the last 12 years and also a trainer for the Barnabas Training Consortium. Syd is involved in prayer ministry and worship leading in a Baptist church and is leader of Alpha and Celebrate Recovery groups. He is married with a grown up family.
Steve Seedall is the Director of Pastoral Care. Steve’s working life began in the financial services industry where in the latter years he worked and qualified as a trainer. In 1992 he became involved as a trainer and training consultant in the field of Christian counselling and pastoral care skills. The work he has done since then has included time as a member of the ACC Training Standards Committee and time overseeing the pastoral care of a local church. More recently Steve has worked as the director of a residential rehab that provides treatment and care to women with life threatening drug and alcohol dependency problems, and also as a support worker with a charity caring for homeless men. He currently works as the director of a community-based Christian Counselling service in Norfolk and he still occasionally provides training consultancy. Steve thanks God for the privilege of being able to meet and work with so many dedicated and gifted people throughout the UK. His passion is to see the church continue to grow into the Community that Jesus means it to be.
