Criminal Records Bureau Checks

The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) register "umbrella agencies" that send in a lot of applications, in order to discourage minimal users. ACC is one of these umbrella agencies. So if you are a person or organisation who only sends in a couple of CRB applications a year why not consider doing it through ACC!

ACC is a registered umbrella agency for processing CRB checks on behalf of other agencies. These can be processed easily and speedily by ACC on your behalf. Prices are extremely competitive as shown below.

Please note the increase in these prices from 1 May 2011.

ACC can speedily process applications from anywhere in the UK. Its contracting arrangements mean that required identification documents such as passports or driving licences can be seen and approved by an agency local to any client organisation (with photocopies then sent to ACC HQ), precluding the need for valuable paperwork having to be put through the post. An agency will nominate a named individual to check all Identification

NEW ISA REGISTRATION VETTING & BARRING SCHEME

The government have decided to halt the launch of the new ISA registration. The Government has announced their intention to remodel the Vetting and Barring Scheme (VBS) back to “proportionate, common sense levels”. As a result, the ISA registration phase of the scheme has now been stopped and therefore did not launch on 26 July 2010. This means that you CANNOT apply for ISA registration until further notice although all applications for CRB enhanced checks will still need to be on the NEW ISA application forms.

National registered charity the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) has the answer for any organisation needing to conduct Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks on staff or volunteers.

ACC has been providing a fast, efficient, UK-wide CRB checking service for several years. De-registering by the CRB of several bodies who used to provide a similar service (due to small numbers of applications being processed) left many organisations needing to make alternative arrangements. The ACC can help -- and at exceptionally low prices:

? £15 per volunteer non-paid
? £50 per paid employee and students on placement
