ASSOCIATION OF CHRISTIAN COUNSELLORS

PRAYER AND PRAISE: SEPTEMBER 2010

SPECIAL PRAYER DAYS

The Head Office team at ACC are holding the last of three special Prayer Mornings on September the 22nd, focussing specifically on the Strategy and Board Meetings which will be held at the end of September. It would be good if you are able to pray as we meet.

BOARD AND STRATEGY MEETINGS

The Board and Executive of ACC will be meeting on the 29th and 30th of September at the Hayes Conference Centre for prayer and to discuss future strategy and formulate important decisions. Please join them in prayer for wisdom, courage and clarity.

TRAINING STANDARDS COMMITTEE

The TSC meet on the 22nd of September. Lucia Hall chairs this important committee.

REGULATION DISCUSSIONS

The Professional Liaison Group meets on Thursday the 30th of September. ACC will be represented by John Nightingale. Please continue to pray for a good outcome to these deliberations.

ONLINE PAYMENTS

Our online payments scheme has gone live and apart from one or two minor hiccups it has proved a real asset. We thank God for answers to prayer in what has been an "interesting" process.

CONFERENCE PREPARATIONS

Preparations are well under way for the ACC conference at the end of January 2011 and bookings are already coming in. Remember those who will be preparing training and workshops. Details of speakers and sessions are available via the link on left hand side.

STAFF CHANGES, SICKNESS AND BEREAVEMENT

Eve Banks, our Office Manager, is retiring this autumn and Hansa Amanna is taking her place. Just as the overlap period was about to begin early in September Eve was struck down by a combination of painful illnesses and was off work. Just as Hansa was about to begin she suffered a close family bereavement, but was still able to make a start, albeit without Eve's expert input. As a result the office has not been operating at the level of efficiency we try to achieve as normal and we value both your prayers and understanding of the situation.
